The De La Salle University (DLSU) Green Archers thumped the University of Santo Tomas (UST) Growling Tigers, 78-69, and booted the latter out of the Final Four contention as the eliminations of the UAAP Season 73 wars continue at the Araneta Coliseum on September 2.
This is La Salle's 15th appearance in the Final Four since the format was introduced in 1994.
Earlier, the pesky Far Eastern University (FEU) Tamaraws solidified its grip of number 1 as it thwarted the resurgent National University (NU) Bulldogs.
It was a close game until the Tamaraws held strong, whipping the Bulldogs, 77-62 and ending the latter's chances for a Final Four berth.
