The NCAA Policy Board, in a meeting held at the Casino Español on May 27, 2008, announced that the Philippine Christian University will play in the forthcoming 84th season of the league.

At the end of the season, however, PCU is voluntarily taking an indefinite leave of absence with the agreement of the Policy Board.
